Spanish Exchange Day 3

Monday

Today was our first day of Spanish school, I was bare tired in the morning because Spanish people go to bed very late even on school nights.. around 1 O´clock in the morning. It snowed a little today as well but it didn´t settle. When we got to the school everyone was staring at us and if you looked up you could see lots of Spanish boys with geled hair looking down on us from the balcony. Their Spanish school was really budget, for art the teacher handed out sheets of paper and we had to paint ourselves but they only had two paint colours. My friend Joe told me that in his class they watched a comedy on the Hollocaust... dodgy.

The Spanish girls were very eager to make friends with us and because I was very bored in class I drew the teachers and they found it endlessly funny.. which was nice but odd. In their school they have classes where they learn to be waitresses and make cocktails so they had a bar and lots of types of booze, some of them said that they´ll drink it when their teachers aren´t looking. They made us hot chocolate which was like yesterday practically just melted chocolate, orange juice and toast and later in cooking class (where we met the GORGEOUS Diego) they made us Spanish Omlette, brownies, cakes and flan. They eat around lunchtime in Spain.

But that wasn´t just it, after school we went to Patris house and had lunch with her family and we had huge bowls of pasta, I felt very full and satisfied with my eating... until they told me the pasta was the starter and served us loads of fish and chips, which I told them was typical English food.

Then lots of the exchanges took us shopping in their mall where I bought a very nice dress from Bershka which I will wear at the fiesta on Friday. Our exchanges insist on buying us food when ever we eat out which makes me feel bad but also makes me worry that I won´t be able to afford their food when they come to London. In the mall we met a boy who was clearly gay but hadn´t come out yet called Julian but he called himself: Juliana (because he said he was a girl), Hannah Montana 1 (I was Hannah Montana 4), Obama and The Little Mermaid.. but everyone said he wasn´t gay... I think a boy who makes sex noises in a massage chair and sings Hannah Montana 24/7 is more likely than not gay. Anyway we all took a shine to him instantly because I think it´s many girls dreams to have a gay or camp best friend... I am very jealous because my friend Bella has one at Brit.. grrr.

These two girls discovered on the first night in Spain that I smoked and every two seconds they pull me outside for a blem. In their school you´re allowed to smoke outside, the teachers let them, but to be honest I´m glad my school is not like that because we´d all be really unhealthy.. or more than we are already. On the bus home from the mall a girl said that she liked this boy Michael Green and everyone was yelling KISS KISS! I felt bad for her because she was in the spotlight and so I hugged her... as you do for support but suddenly all the Spanish girls thought I was a lesbian and wanted to get with her because I hugged her.. I guess it´s due to the culture differences but it took me ages to explain that I felt bad for her and NO ME GUSTA CHICAS! It was a mess but quite funny.
