Saturday
Finally my day! The vocals day, we got down to the studio, a place I still can't get over how amazing it is and I got to use it. So the day started off finishing Franklins vocals, during which we all watched and played pool in the games room. But Franklins voice was pretty warn out so Terry said he should leave it till tonight and I should do mine.
It felt really strange standing in such a huge room to do my singing parts. Terry set up a different microphone for me than for Franklin because apparently one is specalised for men and one for women, which I can't quite get my head around. It didn't take me that long to do because I was really excited so I already had loads of energy for it. Although it does feel nerv racking when the whole band is watching you.
So once I'd done mine Terry said he needed some time to go through both me & Franklins vocals and get the best takes out of every phrase. Whilst he was doing this Gloria and Alex went downtown to get us McDonalds for lunch and KFC for dinner which was very exciting, and we all waited in suspence watching the clock. When Gloria and Alex were in town Alex swears he saw Lindsay Lohan waiting for someone with big sunglasses on, which doesn't seem that unlikely but who knows. Me and Franklin agreed that if we saw her we'd ask her to do the crab walk (family guy joke).
Terry was still doing his thing so the whole band all went down to the beach after having our McDonalds and unfortunately I hadn't brought my swimsuit down that day so I was inoccently paddling when Henry & Alex threw me in with all my clothes on. Secretly I was pleased because it gave me an excuse to swim. After playing lots of pointless sea games that Franklin invented like 'withstand the wave' and of course brother sister battle we went back. Then me and Alex went down to these guys to buy some beer but they only had four and on the walk back I thought we've all been dying for some kro lets see if they have any and when I asked them the guy walked up to someones house and got us $20 worth of mersh. The Bahamas is the buffest place to bun, by the sea at sunset, warm weather. Franklin and Henry were happs that we got it you could tell by their huge smiles. After we went back to the studio to see what was going on.
Then Henry did his vocals and you could really start to hear the whole song coming together. And Franklin finished off his which he had been saving to do. A really great day, loved every minute of it, especially the KFC at the end!
