Nassau - Bahamas Day 1: The Travel

Wednesday.

The night before we set off I felt so pumped up with energy and excitement but when I was woken up at 5 am on Wednesday morning all that energy was drained and I really felt like rolling over and going back to sleep. But we got up, dressed and left the house very quickly to go to Alex's to get his dad to drive us to Gatwick airport.

Once we got there we decided to go to WHSmith and buy some magazines. But when I was waiting in the queue for Franklin this old man slyly cut in front of me. I politely told him that that was my place and he started yelling that I needed to concentrate on the cue more and was literally breathing down my neck all through the cue. Great start to the morning but a little story to tell.

So we went through the usual boring airport business and got on the plane where me and Audrey were sitting next to a woman trying to force us to do Sudoku and played it herself for about 8 hours. We had to get a plane to Atlanta and then change to a plane to the Bahamas. What we noticed was people on the plane to Atlanta looked so glum and grim but when we got on the plane to the Bahamas everyone was happy and smily and wearing floral clothing.

When we arrived at the airport we saw Sherrie in her cute purple track suit, and Henry with a big (I didn't have to change planes or wait in Atlanta airport for three hours) smile. We got some food and went to check out the studio. It is so far beyond what I imagined, Compass point studios is incredible! And we havn't even started to use it yet. There are two huge studios, mixing desks miles long with nobs for god knows what (or Terry Manning knows what). There's a vocal booth that was built specially for Mick Jagger. But the best room of the studio has to be the play room! The pool tables and table football. I want to move in right now.

Thursday we actually get to use it and Terrys many toys (instruments) I can't fucking wait!
