Have you ever been to a town called Ewhurst? If you have I pity you, if you havn't then don't! On our D of E practice trip on the second day as promised we got to walk without a guide which we were all really happy about... until we ended up almost walking off the map into the biggest shithole ever called Ewhurst. We only realised we had been walking in the wrong direction for hours when we turned a corner and saw a sign saying 'Ewhurst School'. As soon as we realised we were completely lost and in dispair (just like in the movies) it started to pour with rain, and to top it off a hobo stole our map! We ended up having to be shoved in the back of a DofE van and driven back to the coach after being so smug when we reached the campsite first the day before. Never wind yourself up in Ewhurst...
