Burn

The fun part of exchanges is going to them, a week away not in school having jokes in a different country.. but of course then you have to let them come to you. The past week I've been a full time mum of a Spanish girl which as you can imagine isn't the easiest or funnest thing in the world. So by the last night of their stay I was relieved and really got into the party mood until a cigarette was jabbed into my eye whilst everyone was dancing. Spending the rest of the party in excruciating pain upstairs with no paracetamol because 'there wasnt any in the house' (except miraculasly the next day when the hostess had a slight headache she pulled out some pain killers) I decided to call home where my dad gave me double the advised amount of kodine which put me right to sleep. The next day I got up and went to the hospital without saying goodbye to my exchange and spent the rest of the weekend sleeping (a lot of it wearing an extremely flattering eye patch taped to my face). My vision is now blurry but clearing and I'm praying it's not permanent. I don't really care whos blem it was... I just know I will be avoiding dancing next to people smoking in the future.
