Thursday
Last day Eve, second to last day whatever you call it was a pretty normal day because I´ve really gotten into the pattern of life here. You know eating lots of meat and omlette (for lunch my family gave me an omlette sandwich), an early bedtime here is 11:30 on the weekdays, I´ve also gotten into speaking English slowly and most of the other English kids have, so when we´re not with our exchanges we´ll all speak really slowly using loads of hand gestures, it´s difficult to get out of the habit.
In the morning me and my exchange were very happy (unlike the morning previous) because we are starting to get better (illness wise) not worse! So even though we´re still sniffly and have to take paracetemol very often we are optimistic. In school Joe decided he was going to change his name to Golieth, which was a classic Joe thing to say but he claims he´s going to legally change it because Golieth is `G´. Not much happened in the first half of the day school wise except our teacher showed us a video of some nuts Spanish festival where basically thousands of people run around the streets with bulls and loads get trampled on! It looked painfull but it´s funny to watch, the teacher said lots of people die in it you can imagine running whilst drunk with angry bulls doesn´t exactly scream good idea, but it looked like they were enjoying it so why not eh?!
After school for some reason our teachers thought we´d want to go to some shitty museum of Avila where I was struggling not to fall asleep in and afterwards the Spanish kids thought we´d want to play football... except once we actually started to play after I had been convinced by Rosalind it was really fun! We were all classic big city kids though playing football in proper shoes and short skirts feably and gossiping at any second. The Spanish kids merked us of course even when we had three girls in goal!
But what was the thing that I find interesting about day 6 was that Henry Carter (I mentioned him in an earlier blog he´s a boy from my primary school) is very sweet but normally doesn´t get that much attention from girls but today he created tears and gossip! Nenas exchange had and has a crush on him and specially wore mascara for the first time and put on perfume for him so when she heard he kissed another Spanish girl you can imagine she was very upset, not nearly as upset as she´s gunna be when she hears that after she went home from the football pitch all upset and heart broken Henry and Sandra (the girl he kissed) made out in the bushes! This is very unlike Henry to do so I think she must have gone in for it first.
First Aoife and Pablo then Henry and Sandra who next? Hopefully me and Diego (a boy in the year above who´s not on the exchange but me Tracy and Precious love!)
