Spanish Exchange Day 5

Wednesday

SICK (as in ill)! I hate being one of those people who get ill on school trips because I´m a very outdoorsy girl so I hate seeming weak like I can´t hack a bit of cold wind. But when I woke up after shivering all night due to a fever I felt like shit and it didn´t help having to walk up a huge hill to get to our Spanish Language school. But when I got there our teacher put me in a good mood because he´s so funny! School was a bit of a blur... our classes consist of our teacher asking us what alcahol we like, what the perfect girl/boy is (in Spanish) and asking us if we have boyfriends/girlfriends. At first I thought he wasn´t teaching us anything and then I realized we´ve learnt so much Spanish with him! Just not the bullshit Spanish we do in school like `whats in your pencil case?´he´s teaching us stuff teenagers actually talk about! Because as the days go by I´m starting to understand the silly questions the Spanish boys come out with. As all boys they´re very dirty and want to know how to say lots of sexual phrases in English. But they get confused between: Fuck, Suck and Zach (there´s a boy Zach on our trip) and they ran up to Zach and said "YOUR NAME MEAN SUCK MY DICK?!?!" which was jokes and is something we quote quite often.

But the real hot gossip of the day was the new born love of Pablo and Aoife! After school we went to Salamanca a very beautiful town/city... London´s so big I don´t know how to compare! And whilst we all went shopping Pablo and Aoife KISSED! In England if you get off with a boy it´s interesting but here there must be something in the air because we´re all getting over excited! Pablo told her he loved her which... might have freaked her out a bit I don´t know but he´s so sweet. In Salamanca the President of Portugals car drove past us when we just happened to be walking on that street, which was exciting, except to be honest we didn´t really get excited not nearly as excited as we got at the prospect of Aoife and Pablo! Pablo´s just such a classic name of a foreign boy one hooks up with abroad!

On the coach journey home from Salamanca the Spanish boys wanted to talk more (which meant ask us more dirty words in English) we learnt comer el congo... to eat pussy and flirting when exactly translated to English means insert coins... little fact for you there! On the coach we all planned what we were going to do in London, Sophie has promised all the exchanges that we´re having a sleepover at her house.. but I don´t know if her mum will agree to 46 people, Sophies mum is safe but I think that´s a bit too far. We told them that we´d have two parties for them and they got VERY excited... I think we´ll have to now because their hopes are high. During this whole Pablo and Aoife thing I had hardly spoken to him because he´s very shy but as I do with most people and especially foreign people when it´s difficult to talk me and Pablo bonded over music, of course his music taste is... questionable consisting of Queen, Bowling for Soup, Franz Ferdinand and Kean but he´s very sweet and I hope that him and Aoife have a long distance realationship!

Unfortunately my exchange couldn´t come to Salamanca because she was ill.. really I should have stayed too but I didn´t want being ill stop me experiencing Spain. So maybe I´m not ill because I can´t hack the cold maybe because I won´t admit I´m down and out (except when it´s a school day in England and I want a day off.)

"BYEEEE BOOMTING!" - (as the Spanish boys now say after learning English slang)
