Last night on the train back from my school Senoir Choir concert in Southwark Cathedral (oh the joy) my dad got a phone from Audreys mum (Audrey is the drummer in Shiva) she was asking if I wanted freebee tickets to see The Horrors that night and of course I jumped at the chance to see one of my favourite bands/one of my celeb crushes (Farris, the lead singer) so I went round to Audreys with my Dad who also got a free ticket from a neighbour. Me, Audrey Ilona and Mary had to wait outside for the tickets, it's a really weird connection how they got it basically Audrey and Ilonas dads barister friend is a session violinist on the side and plays with bands like Placebo (and next week Florence & The Machine) and Audrey chose me to go with her.
When we got there me and Audrey rushed inside the venue to see The Horrors who were AMAZING as always, especially seawithinasea just like when I saw them before put me in a trance. Now, Horrors always play short sets leaving you with the sense of wanting more but when they're a support band it's unbearable how much more you want. We were seated which bummed me out but when they played (although it sounds corny) it feels like it's just you and them.
During the break between Horrors and ..Placebo (one of those bands you know the name of but not the music) Audrey and I talked about how great it would be if she went out with Ethan from Crystal Castles and if I went out with Farris from The Horrors.
The weirdest part of the night was when Placebo had just come on and this girl and these two guys came and sat in the seats in front of us, it started off the girl getting off with her boyfriend loads so we were all thought she was kinda butters, but then she turned around and started making out with the guy we thought was her boyfriends best friend so then we thought she was some raw slag, but when the boys made out we were like... okay so this is what Placebo fans are like, crazy threesome couples.
The orgy continued for the rest of the gig until I think someone must have complained and they got kicked out, snuck back in and started taping themselves up with blue duck tape, maybe as a diguise?? They turned out to be foreign which explained a lot: Foreign + Placebo = Orgy in public + Duck tape.
