Writing about me and my life (essentially blogging) comes flowing to me, funny little play on words and things but when it comes to lyrical writing it's like you have to take all that blabber and emotion, squish it into very well chosen poetic/cool whatever words and put them into a verse to fit a melody.
Being one of the youngest in my band I feel quite shy to put my ideas across in songwriting (god knows why I feel shy because when I'm packed onto a stage with them I'm not at all.)
I love to song write in secret, story type songs rather than cool impressionistic words & phrases Shiva normally sings about. The lyrics I sing, the lyrics of my life I guess seeing as that's what I love to do (Shiva) you could say for example the lyrics of 'Effective First' are my life but they're not. They come from my mouth but were written by someone elses hand. So I've decided to pick up the pen, and actually be brave enough to hand to my brother (the big critic) my lyrics.
