Inspirations

Who said TV couldn't inspire you?..(probably no-one because that's not the saying) but after I'd watched all the friends series enough I could recite them I moved onto Sex and the City. I like the stories and the humor, plus it educates me enormously to everything to do with sex. But the thing I like most about it is the character Carrie Bradshaw; a fashionista-New Yorker-Columnist. She inspired me to want to be a writer and in the future a columnist myself, and no I don't want to write about sex (seeing as I have none) or relationships (because they're few and far between) but I do want to write about life, my teenage life because I've read other columnists and while they're good what strikes me is there so middle age. Too wise? Maybe. Too experienced? Maybe that too, its all husbands, and children, and jobs, and work. Oh god work, I haven't even started work apart from school work and I don't like the thought of it. I want to pursue and write about the other side of things, a look into teenage life. We teenagers are all trying to figure out what kind of people we're going to be when we "grow up", so I'm writing on for size, and I have a feeling that its going to fit. So parents I think next time you tell your kids to turn of the T.V. and do some work maybe you should think again, because it could be inspiring them to do something they're passionate about, most likely not, but here and there it will be.
